Also, see if the integrated motherboard soundcard has a gameport and if re-enabling allows this to work.

I had XP ganeport, but I installed the bit version Professional SP3 after finding out that x64 didn’t support the gameport. As far as your issue, if you disable the integrated motherboard sound card, then the gameport should already be disabled for this component, leaving the PCI sound card gameport open and with no DMA conflicts.
I went onto their web site which says that although specific cni8738 are not available the joystick is supported in Win XP. Join the community here.
But you can get a refund for the card if you got it from eBay!
